The 50th Tokyo Hobby Show took place from October, 14th to 17th.

Yokomo

The new rear wheel drive chassis has a name: "GT500". It should be available end of November for around 23,000 Yen. Scale is 1/12. Many parts are identical or similar to the parts of the R12. The front wheels do not have a damper, just springs. No ball diff is used but the new gear diff from the belt drive chassis. Two bodies will be available at start: the Toyota SC430 and Nissan GT-R. It looks like a fun car for a reasonable price.

For drifters new bodies are announced until end of November: BMW, Chaser, SC430 and Aristo.

T.O.P. Racing

Some interesting new optional parts for the Photon (4WD touring car). Most important is the steering lever made of aluminium and carbon. Also stabilizers in different diameter, pulleys made of aluminium, a gear diff and a new spool were shown. The last two are made by µ Pro, a company closely related to T.O.P.
The new chassis have already been shown before: the very interesting Sabre is front wheel drive. It uses the µ Pro gear diff. The direct drive chassis Rebel was shown in 1/12 and as Pro 10.
For next year T.O.P. plans m-chassis with front wheel drive, 4WD and rear wheel drive (in this release order).

Tamiya

Most of Tamiya has already been shown before. Most interesting was the rear wheel drive M06 Pro. Finally some competition for ABC Hobby's Goose. The chassis can be built with three different wheelbases.
The F104 Pro will be released in a Black Special Edition.

ABC Hobby

Some nice m-chassis bodies have been announced. They were shown before, though.
